Mr Debi Goenka

Mr Debi Goenka (aka God) is the charging ibex of the conservation world. He can lock antlers with anyone over anything and, in pursuit of his monomaniacal desire to see a greener world, does so at the slightest opportunity. He has worked with people you wouldn't believe, including the Government and Nudrat. His passion is protecting the city's mangroves. He has variously been accused of being a CIA spy, a builder's lackey and a greater menace than Dennis. In truth, he is an environmental evangelist with plans to start his own TV channel. His toll-free number is 1-800-I-AM-A-CAT. Since he loves big cats, it is only fitting that he drives a Jaguar. "Better than an Impala," he says. "Plus it has eight cylinders." Six, actually, but who's counting?

Debi has now discovered that there is a Leopard that he can drive.

He thinks it is a perfect low cost vehicle for Mumbai's roads.

Here is a picture of his test drive in Germany when he bought his at a surplus sale".

  1. My friends in the RTO have refused to license my leopard - they say since it meets Euro IV standards, it is too good to be used in Mumbai where we only need Euro III. There is also the small matter of the calibre of the gun that I have to deal with ............
