Mr Shashikant Shah works with CAT as Manager Admin and Finance . He loves forests and wildlife but unfortunately the accounting aspects of the organization leave him with little time for pursuing his hobby or interests. He never misses a chance to visit the bird watching sites on Vashi and Airoli bridge.
He is always willing to help and advise the younger lot of the organization.We in a lighter vein call him the grand old man of CAT
Meghna is currently researching the habits and habitats of the flamingos at CAT. She loves interacting with kids in schools and other educational institutes in Navi Mumbai. She is known as the office bully. All she has to do, is point her razor sharp finger at the victim,(erm person),and the work gets done in a matter of seconds. You just need to brief her about the topic and off she goes to win the battle. If Piranha dispenses meat in a matter of seconds, Meghna does the same with money. Give her a huge pile of money and see it getting distributed before you can say achoo! Convincing polar bear to eat grass is her forte. She was all set to go to Copenhagen to teach all the world leaders a lesson, but then her work beckoned and she turned her rudder back towards MWC. MEghna can be contacted at meghna@cat.org.in.
Stalin calls her the workhouse of the organization. She is completely dedicated to the cause of saving mangroves from the clutches of evil capitalistic factory owners in and around the Thane Creek. If not among the mangroves, she is busy peering into the microscope, studying the micro flora and fauna or has her head embedded into her books. She gives more than her 100% to the work at hand and while she is at it, she has a DND aura around her, so you disturb her at your peril! He is methodical, calm,systematic,organized,knowledgeable, well-informed, needless to say a highly intelligent person with a million dollar smile.
Give him a location, his 20 X Scope for birding and his Nikon with an assortment of lenses and we have Amol, who can capture not just the moment or frame, but also the essence of that environment. At least once, he intends to go globetrotting.

Stalin was a champion sprinter in his college days. That explains why he can be seen sprinting from time to time at our proposed Mangrove Wetland Centre (MWC) with the localites. He has a tendency to go off on a tangent and act like a cat on a hot tin roof when he sees mangroves or nature, being destroyed. His second shift begins at night, when he becomes the good ol driver who remains sober to drive his friends back home after a party. His linguistic abilities have won him the title of “converted AGRI” (coastal community”) by the villagers of Bhandup!
